Talking will it just sink?

I plan to put a 6.9 in my 88 Bronco next summer(plan useing acomplete donor 250 or 350 4x4). I was wondering if with wieght of the 6.9 will it sink in the mud etc.? I plan to swap out the whole drive train, should be an awesome truck.

you looking to play on the trails, or in the pits? My old man's 84 extended cab used to dig along pretty good, as long as you keep moving, you are fine, but that's a rule no matter what you are running... In the pits, it may give you more trouble, but on the trail, it may help it dig... with good enough tires, it should be fine.

The local gas companies tried diesels for the well tenders trucks.
We have a lot of soft ground around here from now till about April or May.
They had so many hung up from sinking in places the gas motors just skimmed across they went back to gas engines.

Thanks guys, I dont plan on any pits, mostly just what i might find getting back into places to hunt. But to be safe i might want to invest in a good winch, front and rear.
