Ok here is my problem i picked up my buddies 88 F150 yesterday and it had no brakes the pedal would go to the floor, so i started looking around and it had a axle seal leaking in rear so i tore it down and replaced both axle seals and the rear shoes, put everything back together and still no pedal bled the whole system and stil nothing, today i put on a master cylinder and still nothing im lost i have never seen anything like this any ides ?????
sorry forgot to mention its like its not wanting to pump up any pressure and i tried two diff master cylinders, once the brakes go to the floor it's enough to get the truck stopped
the truck had this prob for a long time, it had enough brakes to stop itself but not if pulling a load when i picked it up the master cylinder was full, and i checked over everything and i have done it twice since then
thanks for all the help , but i took off the new master cylinder that i got and took it back to advance and exchanged it for another one , the one i had was a reman and i got a new one, and now i have brakes , u used to get half way decent parts from buying reman stuff but i don't think so anymore thats was the 3 rd master cylinder that i got from there in the lat two days. but thanks again for the help everbody
Glad you got it fixed. We never install reman M/Cs at my job for fear of the same problems you just faced. Too much bad luck. We always use new unless it is not available.
