installing cat back?
If you dont have a lift, you may need to cut the rear pipe to get it out of the truck. I cut mine right above the axle. Also, if you are 05 up, your front pipe will take a 1/4 twist to unlock it from the Y pipe, after you take the clamp off. some late 04s may be like this too, the easiest way to tell is to look for a "pinch" in the midpipe.

Well getting your old system off is definately the hardest part of the project. The stock muffler weighs as much as a VW bug, I found this out the hard way as I dropped in on my thumb. (not smart) Having a extra set of hands will help out too, so if a buddy owes you one, call him up!
I installed my cat back FlowMaster myself without a lift. Bob is right...cut the tailpipe off behind the muffler. It will come out real easy. Prop up the stock muffler with something...a jack stand works best. That sucker is heavy!!
The tailpipe install can be a pain, because it is hard to install both of the rubber hangers onto the frame mounted round stock steel thingies at the same time. I ended up cutting a piece off off one to make it easier to slide the rubber hanger on. Put some liquid soap on the brackets and the rubber hangers to make them slide together easier.
It took me about two hours, 4 beers, one pit stop...and I'm 65!!
