1st. problem, After I both this truck new the dealer had to replace the antenna cable because the antenna was loose and it wouldn't tighten up on the mount on the fender. All was fine after that.<XX>

Then, I started having problems with the radio. It started to have signal problems and wouldn't pick up stations very well (inter mitten). It also started to eject cds and would give a error (bad disk). The cd would be HOT (very) so I would cool it off in front of the vent and reinsert it with out any problems for a while. I told my dealer about it and they ordered a new radio for me. <XX>
<X style="MARGIN: 0px">Since that has been replaced I've had no more problems with the cd player. But, the radio signal is still very poor (inter mitten). <XX>
<X style="MARGIN: 0px">Any idea's?<XX>
<X style="MARGIN: 0px">Is there some kind ok amplifier I can plug in between the radio and the antenna to boast the signal?
btw, I did pull the radio out and check the antenna connection on the back and it was in all the way and tight.
Thanks in advance

I guess the first obvious question is... do you live in a remote area that would account for weak signals? Thinking that this isn't the problem, I would look at the antenna as the problem. There was the original problem with it and now your still getting weak signals. I would at the very least find out if they replaced the cable when the replaced the antenna. It may have a bad connector on the antenna end or a crimped cable or something like that. For a quick test you could hook up a piece of wire to the antenna connector at the radio and see if that improves the reception. Just take care to strip a small piece of insulation off the test wire and DON'T short it out to the shield side of the radio antenna plug. If you don't feel at ease in doing this, see if you can buy a cheap antenna (under $5) and just temporaryly plug it in. This will at least tell you if your on the right track. Of course all of what I just wrote is probably useless since the truck is under warranty I'd just take it back to the stealership and tell them to fix it. Good luck and let us know what it turned out to be.
