...new and I need your help. First though, I'll show you what caused me to come here. This is my 1977 F-100 Ranger XLT. I was given the body. After some re-wiring,and an engine install, she's finally road ready.
She originally came with a 400, but someone had swapped that for a 360. When I got her the 360 was stiil there, but on it's last legs. So I built and installed a 390 for her. You can hear the engine here. http://exhaustsoundclips.com/phpbb2/...le&file_id=805
Now, finally, my question. I have later model wheels on the truck. Which you can kinda' see in the pic. I have the center caps, but no screws. I was wondering if one of you knew where I could get them.
Thanks in advance!

Reason: Changed pfoto to a link.
Try the stealership or a local pick n pull yard, or even a tire and wheel shop like belle tire or discount tire etc... You should check our sponsors out on the left of this page, I'll bet Jeffs Bronco GraveYard can get them for you. -Ed
WE can't see the wheels to see what centre caps you are talking about.
I would think though that because they are aftermarket wheels the only supplier for these screws would be a wheel shop.
Also, for truck photos please just post a link instead of an Image.
This makes seeing them a choice as aoppesed to dialup users forced into downloading the image.
You can create a photo gallery to invite people to which is real easy for everyone.
Also, Please put the topic in the title of the thread.
This not only lets us know what the topic is befopre we open the thread but it allows other users to search for the same topic much faster & easier.
Now....where do I come to pickup that 69-70 Full size Ford in the background ? Torino,Fairlane,Galaxie ?
Enjoy your time on FTE...It's a great site & well organized
Those are around 1993 factory wheels Dennis. My buddy has them on his 93 F150.
They use the 3 stainless screws that hold the caps to the wheels.
I would try a junk yard to find them, if you can't find enough, take on to a local bolt supplier such as Fastenal or even the local dealer. The have a counter sunk head with a short shank before the threads I believe, My Dad's 89 has the same type of cap set-up on it.
Looks like a 68-69 Torino in the background.
I'll come haul that off for ya and get it out of your way
Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah they are the later factory wheels. I guess I'll go junk yard huntin' this weekened.
No my '68 Torino GT is not for sale. It is free of any serious rust. It's also a straight body. I just need to get an engine put together for it. I paid $200 for it out of a junk yard. The owner said I was the first person to take a serious look at it. Even he thought it was loaded with rust. All it needs is the front drivers floor pan!
I would love to have that sittin in my shed! My dad had a 68 torino 351 4 spd. I wish he kept it for me but he needed a farm truck and bought a 74 f250 2wd auto.
dp2, we ya'll welcome you to the FTE forums, browse around and don't forget to read the first thread(s) of each forum, and have fun.
Nice looking truck, with the race rally trim. The sound clip did not load.
What does the extra badge have by the F150 badge?
The rims are difinately off a 92-97 F150 truck. The screws are available from the delearship $4 plus for each screw and come in either black or chrome finish, or good luck finding one at the junk yard.
nice truck and like the other guys nice GT. My first vehicle was a 68 fairlane 500 Fastback. Any of you other greedy S.O.B.S. :-)' seen any I would love to start another project. Even though I haven't finished my 77 150 4x4 400. But isn't that what keeps us young. acc2828

Thanks for the info.
It says F-100 Ranger and the extra badge is the XLT badge.
Also, I just tried the sound file, and it works fine. It's a 1.6 MB file though so it takes a little bit to load. It's best to download it,(as in save it) and then listen to it.
