I'll list what was typically found on each trim level, but there are combinations that can cross each. Especially the CUSTOM and RANGER models.
CUSTOM: These trucks typically didn't have any chrome unless the tu-tone option was choosen. The most comon chrome pieces found on the custom, is the long "triangular looking" pieces that went from marker light to marker light, in the "dimple". These center pieces didn't have the center black rub strip. Taillight trim, and tailgate upper and lower trim, and around the tailgate handle, along with drip rail trim, and middle of the cab trim at near the bottom of rear window can also be found on some, especially with tu-tones.
RANGER: These trucks had the more advanced style center trim pieces with the rub strips. Some had wheel lip moldings, They also had Taillight trim, and tailgate upper and lower trim, and around the tailgate handle, along with drip rail trim, and middle of the cab trim. In addition it had a chrome piece that covered the ford letters on the tailgate, that said ford, on it.
RANGER XLT - 1973 to 1976: These trucks had the more advanced style center trim pieces with the rub strips. They had wheel lip moldings, and right at the bottom edge line between the wheel openings they had a second set of chrome pieces that ran right down the bottom edge of the truck (not to be confused with the Race track trim, of later years)., They also had Taillight trim, and tailgate lower trim, along with drip rail trim, and middle of the cab trim. In addition it had a chrome piece that covered the ford letters on the tailgate, that said ford, on it, and yet another additional big wide piece on the upper part of the tailgate that took the place of the upper tailgate molding, and the piece around the tailgate handle. Another addition was windshield and rear window chrome moldings that covered up the rubber gaskets of the windows.
RANGER XLT: 1977 to 1979: and Lariat where applicable.
Just about the same as the 1973 to 1979, except the Race track molding was introduced. The race track molding took the place of the wheel lip moldings, and the right at the bottom edge line between the wheel opening chrome pieces that ran right down the bottom edge of the truck.
That's about all I can think of. It would be best to find pictures of a relevent truck, or get a brochure for picture references.
And As I said before, many combinations with the different chrome pieces avaliable exist. I just tried to list the typical ones.

Hope this helps.
Has anyone ever come across reproductions of this style trim? Or does anyone know of a source? I bent one up a little taking it out. It may be repairable, but I'd like to know a source in case it isn't.
