tires cupping

What is causing my front tires to cup in the center rib? I drive an '04 F-350 4x4 Dually w/ 6.0 Powerstroke. Tire pressure is correct, alignment is good, shocks have 29,000 miles on them. The tires are now noisy and getting worse..any thoughts?

Dieselman929,

Worn or damaged steering parts ie ball joints, tie rod ends. Bad wheel bearings. Improper balancing of tires. Bad shocks.

Take the truck in and have the front end checked out by a compentent mechanic.

Hope this helps

Usually a cupping tire is due to low pressure.

I'm with the bad shocks. Have someone ride alongside of you on the interstate and look at your front wheels. Better yet, you ride in the other vehicle and look. If the tires clearly are bouncing too much, its the shocks.
