2002 f150 fx4
I started having a "tinking" noise somewhere near the driveshaft recently. It only happens when coasting and almost sounds like i'm dragging a piece of metal on the ground and its bouncing off the pavement going, "tink, tink, tink". not only is this very annoying but it is embarrassing that my Ford sounds this way. its not something hitting the drive shaft, i know that much. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum crazynsain 
Quite often you won't find a bad U-joint without actually removing the driveshaft to check them. If you have one that's seized it will feel ok but when you remove the shaft you'll find that it doesn't move freely.

tore it apart and it was the rear u-joint. a 100 bucks later its fixed. thanks for the advice.
