Hello everyone,
I have a 1991 F-150 300/5 speed. Theres is a lever on the clutch pedal under the dash that when pressed pushes a rod through the firewall to engage or disengage the clutch. Mine needs replaced (lever) I have a new one from Ford and am not sure how to get it off the clutch pedal. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so do you have any idea how to replace this piece? I advance I would like to thank any and all who answer.
It's pressed on the shaft, so you'll have to do your best to wedge the old one off of the splines. I used a long flathead screwdriver and a small crowbar, but be careful what you lever against with the prybars so you don't break anything under there.
Hmm, the order of these posts is quite weird. Anyway, I had a really tough time getting it off too. Keep prying at it from as many angles as you can get to, and it should eventually let go.
