Tranny fluid change
Be advised that the 4R100 uses MERCON. HOWEVER!!!!!! Ford recently changed the spec saying that MERCON V is okay to use and is now the replacment fluid as MERCON is no longer produced.
There was always a big stink made when someone put MERCON V in the 4R100, now Ford says is is okay...hmmm...
Anyway, if you can get your hands on MERCON or a quality dual-use fluid, use it.
