I just installed my evolution in my 2003 6.0 with 88000 miles on it. I installed the 60HP setting in it. The tranny is shifting like crap to say the least. It seems like it is hunting for a gear when I get on the pedal. There is also a couple of "dead spots" when I hit the pedal also. When I say dead spot it feels like when you step on the gas on a carburated engine and it chokes out for a second then goes as if it is flooding for a second. Is this normal? If it is not I am going to pull the program off. I know these trannys "learn" so do I have to drive it a certain amount of miles before it starts working? Thanks for the input ahead of time.
i installed in my 05 psd with 12,000 miles i had no problems. i also have it set on the 60 horse setting. i would call edge and ask them maybe they will take it back and reprogram it. hope this helps.
I don't know which "model/version" of edge you have. I DO know that on earlier versions of the edge that they were really hard on the tranny and caused many failures. See if edge will upgrade/reprogram your unit.
I don't know about the Evolution but some ofhte Edge products have a tranny learn mode with takes a while for it to "learn." You can turn this feature off and see if the problem goes away or you can drive it for a bit and see it it learns.
I don't want to hijack the thread; but, here goes. How do you get the three position switch into the cab? I just installed the box and still have the swith in with the engine.
