I have a 03 f250 Powerstroke 4 door. The drivers window switch won't raise the window. I think I have to replace the switch. Is there any idea of how to roll the window up by jumping a wire or a manual way of doing it. Wisconsin in the winter is not the time to drive around with the window down. Also any ideas of where to get good used oem parts or cheap oem parts. I think I am in need of the switch cluster for the windows.... Thanks in advance
Go to the battery cable thread on this page and search in millenium ford for discounted parts, or do a search of sponsors at the top of the page as they are a sponsor. Even with shipping you will save. I know you cannot wait, have you tried manually raising the window? If you can't do that, pull the panel off andget busy in there. Temps are probably getting brutal by now up there.
Tenn has it right. YOur going to need to open it up and find out if it is the switch or not. You can use a jumper and put power to the motor to find out if it is the switch. At any rate, with the door panel off, you will still be able to get the window up. Keep us informed.
BTW, if it is the switch, look on fleabay. Depending on year, I have seen the entire switch panel sell for $20.
You don't even have to remove it. Pour a generous amount of rubbing alchol into the cluster and then blow it out with compressed air. Even the little can of air you can get at Radio Shack will work. Chances are your switch will begin working. I have been using this trick ever since power windows were first introduced.
