How do I gain access?

I want to get the front of my dash off or at least open enough so I can run a radar detector 12V. feed to the top without having wires across the face. Did this with my old Dodge-it was a piece of cake and looked real good.
HELP!

Are you talking about sitting the radar detector on the dash?

Microwave (where radar is) is very line of sight. The higher the receiving antenna (your detector), the better your warning. Then, you just tuck the cable across the headliner, down the passenger A-pillar, behind the dash, and down to your power, without removing much plastic.

If you have the overhead console, you can get power right from there.

Will the Super Duty logo at the top of the windshield restrict the performance of the radar detector...or will it shoot through?

No beemr, it won't reduce radar performance. It will, however, reduce laser performance (which is a joke anyway... laser indication tells you when to pull over).

No but if you have the suction cups mount they won't stick there.

Well I wants it on top of my dash, so my question stands as I do not want lots of wire show...just a leetle pig tail.
Anybody have some specifics fer me.
Thanks

What jake00 said, dash bezel just pulls off, held on by clips. May have to cycle the the Trans selector all the way down to get bezel completely off. Also don't forget to unplug the wires from the back of the switches that are in the bezel before you pull it to far out.

Hope this helps

To just run a wire, you won't have to pull any wires off the switches..the dash pops off far enought to drop the wires down inside. Just use a stubby flat screwdriver and carefully pops the plastic off the clips. I started at headlight switch area and worked my way across towards passenger side...had to turn on ignition to put shifter into 1st to pop it off far enought to see back of radio. You should be ok.
