Blown Speaker Help
I have a 3-4 year old set of Alpine R series 6.5 component speakers in my front doors. The driver side woofer sounds like it is either blown, or has a bad voice coil. I am going to buy a new set, and am wondering if the new set will be "compatible" with the old set. This was obviously a custom install, and the tweeters were cut and epoxied into the door bezel. It will be easy enough to swap out the woofers (and crossovers - if needed), but I'm pretty sure that I'm stuck with the old tweeters (they sound fine). Will the new pieces integrate with the old tweeters? Do I need to replace the crossovers? As always, thanks for any help!

unless you buy Type R replacment woofers you might as well start with a new set.....
