Turn signal switch

Well after a couple of attemps at just replacing the canceling came I broke down and installed a new complete switch. It works like a champ and I think it will last alot longer.

Have any of you guys ran into these problems when changing cancel came.
one side of brake lights didn't work without holding the handle just right. The one turn signal would only flash the rear light and not the front. I have changed the cam twice and they just don't seem to last long at all I only seem to get a couple of years out of the cam and hope the complete switch gives me a much better life span.

The cam and switch are most likely made by two different companies. With that said manufacturing tolerances can be off a bit which results in touchy contacts.

Check with your local dealer ffor the switch. You can still get them. Only difference is 2wd or 4wd. I work for a dealership and get them next day. THey fit all the way up until 72 on the pickups and some of the larger F-500's used them alot longer. These are genuine Ford, not aftermarket.

WOW Barry I never thought of the dealer I should have asked. I would have never thought they were still in stock with Ford..I may just order one for the next time.

Barry how much would the dealer charge?

The 2wd switch is #C9TZ 13341-C and lists for $57.15. The 4wd switch is #C2TZ 13341-D and lists for $81.78 , If anyone needs them, I can get them and sell them to you at my cost+ shipping. I can sell the C9TZ-C sw. for $40.00 and the C2TZ-D for $58.00 My facing warehouse has the C9TZ-C and Detroit warehouse has the C2TZ-D switch. If you're interested, send me a PM offsite. I just hate to see anyone buy the repo stuff when it's still available thru Ford. Remember, shipping is extra.

I hope I didn't offend anyone by listing prices and discounted prices here. I wasn't trying to boost sales for the dealer I work for, just trying to let people know the genuine switches are still available. And if I can save someone a few bucks! great!! You can spend the savings somewhere else on the truck, or put it towards keeping the wife out of your hair by taking here out to dinner!!

Barry Thanks for the information.
I for one will probably buy one for the shelf so when the one I installed goes out I will have a stock one ready to go.
So far the after market one is working fine, but it has only been a week...

Jonny, I suggest that you give ezwiring a call. They can tell you where to plug the wires into.

Hey Barry,

Can you still get these switches?

Cheers,

This thread is over 4 years old, and has wrong info.

The C9TZ13341C switch is still available, but the MSRP is now $61.98. See your TSS related post in the other thread you typed in, for more info.

The C2TZ13341D switch is now obsolete. If you have a '66 F100 (as your profile says), it's not correct.

Where did you get these applications from? They are not correct!

C2TZ13341D = Original applications: 1961/65 F100/250 4WD / 1961/66 F350/600 / 1966 F250 4WD.

C9TZ13341C = Original applications: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD / 1966 F100 4WD / 1967/68 F100/250 2WD/4WD & F350 / 1969 F100/250 2WD/4WD & F350 before serial number G30,001.

1969 F100/250 2WD/4WD & F350 from serial number G30,001 & 1970/72 F100/250 2WD/4WD & F350 use different T/S switches.
