UMHHH I remember when you had an alignment and they put shims when ever necessary to get the alignment. UMHHHH wonder if alignments now days are just "toe-in" and drive out.. Jim

If a dealer or mechanic tells anyone that they will not compensate for road crown by altering the caster (i.e. running a half degree higher on the right side) on a vehicle because they do not want to sacrifice tire wear they either A) do not know what they're talking about or B) they're just lying to you. Caster is a directional control angle and does not directly cause tire wear. Camber is both a directional control and tire wear angle, toe being the most critical tire wear angle. Remember, alignment is more art than exact science.
