my buddy and i decided to put one of these wolo train horn kits in his truck.we followed all directions and now the electrical system is a freak.when the switch is in regular horn mode it blows the horn nonstop, sometimes, and the doorlocks work intermittantly, now the headlights wont shut off,all relays are freaking out all we did was cut the horn wire, install a relay as instructed and the thing is a freak.any help is appreciated
on an 02 f150 the horn trigger is dark blue at the column and sends a ground to the horn. I don't know if that signal runs through the gem, but your problem sounds GEM related. I am thinking one of the chassis grounds maybe getting power and flipping the GEM out.
we disconnected everything pertaining to the train horn, the factory horn once pressed blows nonstop, also if you disconect the battery everything is ok till you ress the horn, also if you press the powerlock for the doors the parking lights come on........
His GEM sounds shot. Ford can confirm it, but the doorlocks have little to do with parking lights until the GEM goes. Sorry I can't give you better news.
General Electronics Module. It basically controls interior lighting, door switches, power windows, really anything electronic not required to run the engine.
