97 Explorer window locking problem

97 Explorer window locking problem
Hi! I am brand-new to this forum, and so happy to be here! 
Im praying that someone can help with my most recent problem!!!!!
I have a 1997 Explorer. I have had some minor issues with it, but Ive learned to live with them. But my most recent problem (the last few days) is really annoying!!!!
All of the windows open when the driver rolls them down. But when each passenger tries to open their windows they dont roll down, as if they were locked. But the window lock isnt on, and Ive tried locking & unlocking the windows with the window lock but Im still not having any luck.
I had to bring the truck in a few days ago because the belt had come off. Could something have reset when they were replacing it? (yes, i know, i am clueless!)
Can someone pleeeeeeeeease help?!?!?!?!

The window lock switch removes voltage to the rear window switches on the red/light blue stripe wire.
Looks like theres a break in that wire, most likely where the wire flexes everytime the drivers door is opened.

you wont believe what it was!!! there was a BUG on the wire, blocking it!!!! how weird!!!
and, over a year ago the console over head that shows the temperature & the compass (not sure what it is called) had stopped working. it wasnt a fuse because my husband took it apart & tried to fix it....
so tonight when i left the mechanic & turned on my truck, THAT mysteriously went on & is now working!!!!
