i have a 95 ford f150 5.0 v8. i got it not to long ago and it has needed some work. i replaced the valve cover gaskets, and the upper intake gasket, cap and rotor, well now i put everything back together and the truck wont run right. i checked everything and it is all back the way it was. im not sure what to do. im trying to learn more on engine repair but now im in a bind. help me.
Make sure you did not leave a vacuum hose off and do not forget that a 95 5.0 has the same firing order as a 351. It is not the same as the older 5.0 engines.
well it is running now but for some reason i thought of trying the older 302 firing order and guess what the truck is running just fine now. i dont understand why it is the old firing order on a 95. anyway im planning on selling this truck to get a new truck so if anyone is interested let me know.
I had an 94 302 bought new it had old firing order. My newest toy is a 94 w/Maf 302 it had the new 351 order when bought it. Think it just depends what was FORD had left on shelf and how early that 95 was made in the 94 year.
