Steering column recommendations and gallery update.
Here are a few wheels that I personally like:

I like a couple of those. They are Billet Specialties aren't they? They make some good stuff. I like the flamed billet wheels too but I'm afraid it is too flashy and will kill my ultra nostalgic stock look. My hood and glovebox door is genuine Ford parts ya know.

No. 1: Grant Wheel
No. 2: Colorado Custom
No. 3: Billet Specialties
No. 4: Billet Specialties
BTW, which part numbers did you order for the steering column and which mounting bracket did you go with?
I presume FR20021 (column) and FR20114 (mounting bracket)?
Thanks

Affirmative on the column, Flaming River 20021 30in with column shifter. $479 from Zig's Street Rods
I used a Billet Specialties BS27125 2 X 3 1/2 column drop. $59.95 from Zigs. Sweet! I am a big fan of BS products.
Keep in mind I have a Volare, your mileage may vary on how much drop you need. 3 1/2 is in there for many apps as I understand though
I have Lokar shift linkage kit for my C4. I used one Borgeson joint and a Cadillac upper knuckle and trimmed the 3/4 DD shaft. I wanted to use that for vibration resistance at a HUGE savings to aftermarket.

Cool.
I'll be using a floor shifter so I'll be going with the other column from Flaming River. IFS will most likely be Heidt's Superide with Mustang II power rack and pinion.

Good for you, the column without shifter is much cheaper as I am sure you know. I was going to do a Lokar floor shifter but it started looking like similar money when the dust settles.

You asked for suggestions for a steering wheel....
Given the "look" you have going with the exterior and assuming the interior is similar, the latter few pictured wheels that Uncle JT suggested would look good but the repro Ford banjo style might look good as well.
Personnally I hate those billet flame style things (probably pissed someone off with that) but it's all pretty subjective anyway...

No offense taken at all, that's why i asked you what you thought. I like flames a lot but the steering wheels you speak of are less than subtle. With the exception of my guages, I think my truck still retains somewhat of a nostalgic look (hood down of course) I am not into peeling off the bumpers and body trim etc. I have went to great trouble to modify original dash bezels for use with modern switches, put the shave door handles back on, and other weird things like that. I don't want the uninformed observer to ask, What kind of truck is that anyway?
I have found a Grant wheel that may work for now. The banjo style is certainly an option up for consideration.
