hey everyone, started my weekend off this sunny sat morning with 4 of my 5 lug bolts breaking off. don't have any experiance in replacing lug bolts. please, could someone help me in how to take the old ones out and replace them with new ones. thank you kindly.
They are a press in fit. You can use a big hammer to get them out and I generally use a nut to pull the new one in. When you remove the brake drum you will see how they fit in.
well, my sway bar bolt (not sure it's real name, connects to the a-arm) broke off and i replaced them on both sides and i guess the only thing that coulda happened is i didn't tighten them enough. we usually don't make that mistake but i guess that can happen. or somebody loosened them and wished for the worse. know a couple of people that aren't too fond of me and would do something like that. never-the-less, thanx for the info.

Usually they break when they have been overtightened and you try to remove them with a lug wrench. An impact gun helps to break the lug nuts loose without breaking the lugs.
Replacing them isn't too difficult. You'll have to punch out the old ones. Then just press in the new ones. If you don't have a press you can tap them in most of the way. Then use a lug nut and wrench to finish seating it. Just make sure you use the correct lugs.
