It will bolt up to any FE engine but it will not have the proper internal setup to work with other applications.

To continue with what he said. The FE family would be 332,352,360,390,406,410,427,428. Good luck finding an original factory 406 or 410 and if you can afford the 427 you are a very lucky person. 352 seem to be in older Fords. 360 and 390 are everywhere and 428 don't seem to be too hard to find. 406 and 410 can be made using different block and crank from the FE family but finding an original 406 or 410 is rare as I believe they were used for the Mercury line and some seem to find their way into the Ford truck late in the 406/410 production years. And I have no idea what the 332 came in or the years it was made. You could also do a search and find the stroke of each which would give you an idea of what to look for in the junk yards. Some motors have the same stroke but different cylnders so you will have 3 or 4 basic groups that all of the above motors will fall into. Read through the thread "unknwn FE??" it will list the stroke of the the groups and help you determine what motor you have or what motor you may want to find.
