If you make a post in a forum and it doesn't belong your resident moderator (Justin is the moderator for this forum - MustangGT221) will move it to the correct forum. Click your username and click Find all posts by 44dwarf. That will show you all your posts and you can find it from there. Hope that helps.

-Matt

P.S. If you have any questions about things in the forum then look at the top of the forum you are in and it has a list of moderators. Email or PM one of them and they will help you.

I've wondered the same about disappearing posts.

In that case it seems like good manners and common courtesy to notify a poster that the post was moved.

With the amount of posts in this forum per day...as well as the amount of wrong-forum posts per day that need to be moved....I can't possibly notify everyone, esp when they can just click their name and find their post.

What was the post about? You should be able to find it with the search unless it was taken off the site and if so there would be notifications for that.

I used to have a stickie at the top of this forum explaning wrong forum stuff, but administration is making some changes for now so I have to go w/o until it's finished.

Its common courtesy and good manners to read and follow the guidelines of a site. From our guidelines:

This is a busy site with thousands of daily posts and it takes a lot of effort by the staff and volunteer moderators to keep things running smoothly. If you have any questions, disagreements or constructive criticism of moderation or the site please use the private message or contact system. The work of admins/moderators is challenging enough without users calling them out in open threads.

Additionally, we have a forum for user feedback which states in the title:

User Feedback and Suggestions
A forum for feedback to improve FTE. Post your complaints, suggestions or kudos here. For site support and trouble ticket issues click here..

I suggest you take the time to read the guidelines and browse around the forums getting to know the ropes. Its better than open mouth, insert foot and we'd really like to have you here, getting along with other users and the staff.

Thanks....
