I have a 2000 F-250 7.3 diesel. My problem is when i leave home i get about 1 mile form home and my truck losses power and i loss throttle. If i pump the throttle the engine stays and the same rpm's and the truck die's at this point a lot of white smokes come out of the exhaust and sometimes i can get it started again. I have changed batteries and fuel filter and i thought i ran good for 1 day now it's back to the same problem. i have changed the camshaft censor as well. can someone help please..thanks
Mashing the pedal with no response points to the TPS (Throtle Position Sensor), But the White smoke throws me. I am not sure if the IVS (Idle Validation Sensor) going haywire could cause the smoke or not?
The smoke makes me think of failed injector o-rings. (But then that would be constant, not coming and going.)
I'll be interested in hearing this outcome as well.
