My F100 has a 3 speed manual transmission, can someone tell me what the
part number is for my 3 speed trans ? I may replace it and need that part
number to search, ebay and or junk yards for a used one.
Is it a 3 speed manual on the column? Commonly called 3 on a tree. If it is then it should be the Ford 3.03 three speed transmission. All of the other manual transmissions offered where 4 speeds either with or without overdrive. So if yours has only 3 foward gears, then thats what you have.
NP435 and NP208 are these transmission part numbers for my 1980 F100.Adam
np435 is a 4 speed manual tranny with a granny first gear, and i believe np208 is a transfer case if im not mistaken.
the np435 is a differnt tranny then the one you've got, it could be swaped in though, giving you 4 forward gears and a granny first gear, im sure its more stout then the 3.03
