Hi Everyone! I have a 54 Ford truck, and it now has a tilt front end, 3 inches chopped fromt the top, and now Im trying to make suicide doors, now my problem is that I tried using the stock hinges but Ive run into a problem trying to get them to work properly with the doors binding on the cab body,..Is there anyone that has hone this and if so, what do you suggest, Thanks! I'm in a similar boat. Have a 53 with a steel hydraulic tilt nose and am in the process of suiciding the doors. I have one door swinging with the stock hinges and it doesn't seem to be binding, I can only guess that the hinges are not square in the jamb, or should I say that one is not square to the other. I was lucky and was able to cut a jamb from another truck, took me several hours of fitting to get the swing correct but it seems to work.
I have an article I can email you which covers the process step by step, it's kinda hard to read but if you look closly you can make it out.

Thanks for the info,...I looked at the site called suicidedoors.com, and they have a kit, So today I took the original hinges apart and took 2x3 steel tubing and used stsinless steel bolts as hinge pins, Im still woried that it might bind against the outside of the cab,...Here is my email address, speed_hound(No Email Addresses In Posts!), I appreciate the info. Thanks for the email and the info on the suicide doors, I was able to make out the attachments, thanks again.
p.s. I got one door on, not sure if it will work but working on the other now.
