Solid Motor Mounts?

I was wondering about the pros and cons of using solid motor mounts? In case you guys didnt see them Trans-Dapt has a new motor mounts out, one solid and one poly, both for 460 swaps. I lost the link but do a search, you'll find them. Oh yeah the solid ones they offer are around $70. THanks, Dave.

MY personal experience w/ SOLID MOUNTS............. for RACING, not god for street driving, to much vibration. now for a street/strip vehicle, they might not be bad since you might only drive to and from the track, or occasinaly on the weekend!

i went with the MOROSO solid motor mount, and frame mount on my chevy race truck. make sure you get BOTH motor and frame engine mounts! i've seen the solid engine/poly frame mount combo before and if you have any pep to your engine at all it will still torque over on you. the solid mounts on my chevy don't have ANY engine movement what so ever. it's strait power delivered to the drive train.

The truck will only be used offroad, the vibration wont be a problem. With the ones that Trand-Dapt has out they are solid steel, so it would be solid from frame to motor. Will they work ok with the stock tranny mount made out of rubber and steel? I think I'll give these a try, they are cheap enough, Dave.

i changed my trans & trasfer mounts out, they are now poly mounts (even more vibration hahaha). i already had the poly trans mounts on there before i changed the motor mounts. the moroso ones recomend either poly mounts or solid mounts for the trans/tranfer. that's all mine is for now too, stricly OFF-ROAD!

i wan't diapointed when i changed mine, it actually "feels" like there is more power. there is WAY less engine flex (almost none) with the solid mounts. it just goes strait to the power train, and BAM your off and a runnin!
