Man,I don't think anything is going to quit breaking on this truck. 93 f250
7.3l 5spd. When I push the clutch in, I am getting a squeaking noise. My clutch master is brand new. It sounds like it is down by the slave, I am waiting on my wife so she can push the pedal while I listen. It started out as a popping noise, then went to a squeak. it only squeaks at a certain spot on the pedal movement. anybody had this.
The beauty of owning a diesel is usualy you can't hear any squeaks...but that doesn't solve your problem. The most common of squeaks associated with clutch I found is the spring on the cross member under your dash and cracked firewalls [ 93, I don't think had problems with firewalls] , but you hear it around your slave cylinder?? It must be a loud squeak...can you hear it with the truck running? With a hydrolic system, the only moving parts are the master & the slave no noise there, so with a "new master" is it possible your getting a full throw and now hearing pressure plate spings??
when you say crossmember, are you talking about the pedal, or under where the slave is. I can't hear it with truck running. I was just worried, because it started out as a pop when you release the pedal, then went to a squeak. you might be right maybe it is just the pressure plate. I don't know which spring you are talking about though, I don't recall one under the truck
The spring I'm referring to is under your dash attached to your clutch pedal and cross member. If thats where the squeak is...give it a good spray with any lubricant. lol
May need to get some lubrication on the clutch fork pivot point in the bell housing.
Should be able to do that from the outside, I know I can on my four speed.
Could also be the rod that comes out of the slave cylinder where it meets the clutch fork.
