What do you think? Is the quality good? i'm flying over from the UK for a couple of weeks and fancy buying a few tools so would appreciate your opinions
couldn't get the link to open here at work for it is a good brand if that helps any. I have a set of metric IR at home, but haven't had the need to use them yet.
Try this for a start, link edited http://www.northerntool.com/
I don't like that the warranty is only 12 months, I prefer to get lifetime warrantied impact sockets. Our most used wheel socket at the shop, had cracked twice in three years, from removing wheels, people just got on.
Well, first, look at the 2 behind the www on your link. Second, I tried mine, and it appears they don't allow direct linking. So you still have to find it via search.

Reason: problem with links
I bought a set of Harbor Freight deep 1/2 metric sockets about 1 1/2 years ago made of Chrome Vanadium. I use the 19mm several times throughout the day and I have yet to hurt one and I have a IR 2135Ti impact gun. I paid a whopping $17 for the set. Oh yeah they have a lifetime warranty.
I have HF impact sockets also and bought a set for a friend for some work he did for me. Both of us have had good luck with them. However the HF sockets do seem to have thicker walls which can present a problem when trying to get into tight places. Other than that I can't complain about them.
