Why does the 351 Windsor have a different firing order than other small blocks like a 302? When looking for a camshaft should I stick to the 351W fring order or does it matter? Thanks
The firing order was changed on the 351W because it was felt that it would reduce the load on the bearings. You could go with any cam you like if you find one that offers what you're looking for, but you'll probably find more cam choices with the 351W/302 H.O. firing order.
What is the HO for in a 302 HO?? and what years were they in production?
The HO stands for High Output of course, and they were found in 87-95 5.0 Mustangs, T-Bird/Cougar, some Lincolns and police edition Crown Vics to name a few.
