88 7.3l
I am looking at a 1988 7.3LF250. Is there anything special I should be looking for with regards to the engine. I have been buying and fixing trucks for years now, but this will be my first diesel. Thanks for your help

The nice thing about diesels is that almost everything that makes them run poorly also makes them hard to start...and that is not something one can easily hide. If it starts easily, runs good, doesn't smoke, and isn't leaking all over the place, chances are it's worth the risk.
