Talking Starter?

WEll I got the new Clutch in, but now the Starter is disengaging. I can pick up a starter for fairly cheap, just wondering how hard it is to put one in. I don't think it is that big of a challenge, jsut wanted to know from you guys/gals!

If you changed a clutch, you will laugh your way through a starter.

A Starter is only Two bolts, one wire. Very easy depending on how bad your passenger side exhaust gets in the way. I have headers and modified exhaust on mine so it is a bear but most stock setups are a breeze.

Just disconnect the battery first. We always think we can do it without disconnecting it until we shoot sparks, scare the %^$& out of ourselves and almost weld a wrench to the block. -g-

Good Luck,

Lee

The worst thing about the starter is only if you have an oil leak. It can makes things real messy. Otherwise Lee Lichterman's advice is good.

Did you replace the clutch or did you have a shop do it? You have to remove the starter to change the clutch. If you had a shop do it, than yeah Lee's advice is right on the money. Especially the part about the sparks, from not disconnecting the battery.
