Ok, I am into it by now Dave, stick with me...
I got as far as trying to remove the pump.
The hardlines are all off, and everything in the front of the engine has been removed.
I thought I knew what I was doing up to the part where I take the three bolts that hold the pump off and attempt to pull it out.
What is holding it ?
It wiggles all around like heck, but I know I am missing some key element here...
I took off the oil filler neck, to see the three tiny bolts and a line up pin.
I dont have a socket to turn them yet.
(11/32 dont fit them)(lol)
Ok, so now what ?
I took lots of pics of the belts and brackets, I only hope they help when I am putting it all back together.
Whew, what a jigsaw puzzle...
ok, i just read that the three, what I am hoping are 5/16 12 point bolts, come out and release the pump.
I am counting on some details and help getting this to all line back up again from you and this forum...
Mostly from you lol.
everything went just fine. I bagged and tagged all the rockers and rods.
I have the injectors labeled too.
Its all black sticky oil covered.
I already found one broken part. The thing that crosses over from the intake to the exhaust rocker arm. Otherwise I will lift the heads off sometime soon.
What a mess !

Couldn't tell from your last post whether you took these 3 bolts out yet or not, but you're on the right track. These 3 bolts hold the pump to its timing gear. Remove them and it will slide right out/off of the housing.
Sorry I was so late getting here.
Sounds like you are well on your way.
5/16" twelve point is correct on the IP drive gear bolts.
Do protect the injectors, there is a little pintle on the end that goes in the engine that is very easy to damage. You probably want to get them pop tested before you reinstall them anyway.
I took off the drivers side head. Though I forigot to drain coolant, after it all came pouring out from the oil drain plug, I saw lots of rust on the cylinde walls.
The engine still wont turn. I took out the glows on the remaining head and it still wont turn.
