Be diligent, you'll find the problem. You might want to check the DTCs again to see if anything has changed.

Have you recharged the K&N filter lately? If so, excess oil on the filter can be gumming up the MAF and you may want to clean the MAF again.

Good luck!

I had the same problem ,I cleaned the MAF and the code came back. After a couple of days trouble shooting, changing hoses, tightening clamps, I ended up having to change the MAF. I just when down to the pick and pull, paid about 30 buck and no more code. It has been two months now and still no codes.

I hope this helps you out.

Did you change it(MAF) with a new one or a used one?

If it was used, did you clean it first?

From what I read throughout this forum and other forums, it is very unlikely that the O2 sensor is bad. Since I changed my MAF, I have not had any problems.

I know how frustrating it is to try and solve a problem like this. I wish I could help out more.

I'm having the same problem (P0172 only). I did clean my K&N filter and oil it, but that was months ago. I have a Granitelli High-Flow Mass Air (installed over 3 years ago). Have also been running a JET Chip (stage 2) for 3+ years. I had the trouble code cleared when I was getting an inspection sticker (the check engine soon light actually came on when I was on my way to the station). Luckily I used to work there and I only needed a safety check.

The check engine soon light came back on a day or so later. I disconnected the battery and pulled the JET chip and left battery disconnected for 30 mins. I left the JET chip out and reconnected battery and drove it for a while. Light hasn't come back on yet. Will be doing some more driving to see if it will come back on. I find it sometimes it's good to reset the computer and leave the JET chip out once in a while. This is the first time I've had the check engine soon light come on.

BTW, I don't drive the truck much. Sometimes it will sit for a week or two and longer. Might some dirt/gunk build up from non-driving? I should start it up a couple times a week and take it for a quick spin. I also don't want to take a trip to the dealer, even though my warranty should cover everything.

Well, service engine soon light is back on. Only took a few days of driving. The truck actually hestitated while I was accelerating on the highway, then the light came on. Haven't checked for codes again, yet. Don't want to make a trip to the dealer, even though I'm still covered under warranty. Might hit up an Autozone and see if they will check it.

I should really buy an OBDII code reader or maybe a reader/clearer.

when O2 sensors fail they fail rich, rich=low voltage, its like a default in a way, think about it, how can something fail to high voltage?
