aod not working
I have a 2000 f150 with a v6 and aod trans. When it shifted to overdrive it was like you put it in nuetral. Engine revved up but no transmission. If you cut the button off every time you drove it it worked good but no overdrive. The transmission started slipping so I took it to a local guy with a good reputation. He rebuilt the trans but says overdrive still doesn't work. Says he has had the valve body out 3 times ans finds nothing wrong. Said he replaced all the solenoids,shifter arm claims it might be in the computer. He was waiting on a pin out box to test electrical but said it was back ordered. No codes are present. His diagnostic tool shows overdrive coming on then going off. He has had my truck for 5 months. I already paid him for the overhaul parts $600. I have left it there this long because I don't want it back in the same condition I left it (as far as overdrive not working) any suggestions

thwe only thing that i can come up with is a servo boost valve in the valve body causeing this problem.if the computer comands 4th gear and it dosnt happen,so the computer quits trying to apply.the valve wont be stuck but worn allowing od servo oil pressure to bypass. sonnax makes a replacement valve part#76948-29k.hope this help.
