Manufacturer unknown, failure mode well known now. Somebody is going to wind up a bit dead one of these days.

my engineering background is in aerospace but my heart is with the hotrodder starting back in 1960 or thereabouts. after buying my '54 i started devouring truck mags and thought "by gosh, that MII is for me"... not so fast, himmelberg. considering the function and resultant form of trucks in the mid fifties, the IFS seems an iffy choice for upgrading the ride and steering. two reasons. strapping a suspension designed for a lightweight girly mustang on a truck with some serious front end weight is wrong. then, too, the riveted flexible frame of the truck is out of sync with the IFS as it functions. am not surprised at stress failures and pray no one gets hurt. thanks for the heads up. best. himmelberg

Rick with lo-boys sent me the pics for the additional bracing for the lower control arms... it effectively braces the control arm to the frame... if you're interested in a MII installation I suggest you email him and he'll send the pics... I plan on doing mine with his suggestions...
