I have a stock 2000 F150 4x4 with stock 265/70/r17 tires. I am looking to go bigger with the tires, and was wondering if 285/70/r17 will fit on my 17x7.5 inch rims, or what mods would be needed to make them fit. I don't want them to be mushroomed dramatically over the sides or anything like that.
I can get a good deal right now on some 18x8 rims, but if i can fit the tires on the 17's I would like to save the money. The sooner the better for any advice would be helpful, don't know how long the rims will last. Thanks in advance for the help.
They fit good on your 16 inch rims, but how wide are they. The BF Goodrich man said the tires would balloon a little and might cause some handling problems.
