Smile Its possible

I never would have thought it true until i tried it, you can put a 64 cab on a 66 frame. With some cutting, weilding, geometry, a lot of time standing around, scratching we managed to make it work and line up perfect. Ill keep everyone posted on how the buildup is goin.

Great Job & Great upgrades are truely easier on a 65 & up chassis. What was the hardest part to retrofit ?

Mitch,
The easiest way is to get new "outriggers" for a 61-64 and mount them on a 65 & up frame in the position they are for the 61-64 cab mount configuration. Most decent Ford truck specialty jobbers carry replacement cab mount brackets for both 61-64 & for 65-79 F series cabs. . . .

Then a little engineering to support a 65 & later style steering column & shifter assy, a little more tweaking here & there and it's a done deal.

I'm sure there are other ways to make the crossover between both basic styles, but this is the easiest way by far. When done right & well it looks OEM, Script, Box Stock.

In fact this is the easiest way to get it done on chassis through the 79 models. I have never sought the hardest way myself once I discovered how easy this method was.
