This was almost as easy as the AIS install and when the Trans Temp sender gets here next week I'll be finihed (No I didn't break it they forgot to send it). 1 ? though Boost and Pyro appear to be working correctly but how long should it take for the EGT's to get under 270 while idleing (Turbo cooldown) after a 20 minute run at 55 - 65
you prefer them like that on the angle, or is that just the picture?
when my engine is fully warmed up, it takes about 30 seconds to get from 450 (when i pull in) to about 400* when i shut her off. im pretty sure mine is off a few degrees, because i can let it sit and idle what seems like forever to get to 350, and i've never seen it at 300*, except for engine braking in 2nd gear downhill at 2000rpm, it really brings the temps down.
I just started really paying attention to this today and after more than 30 minutes on the road, and some before that, it was at 360ish and took a minute to get to 300.
About 3-4 minutes and 300 was the lowest I saw with my stock CAC and 6637 filter. Tonight, with the Spearco CAC and AFE filter, I saw 290 in about 2 minutes. This is after 24 miles at 75mph. I also noticed that my EGTs seem to be about 10-20 degrees higher at idle with the AC on.
Takes forever (haven't timed it yet) for my EGTs to come down to 300 after driving on the freeway coming home from work. I am going to time it this week.
