F2
this is from my original post
The front discs are on the F-3, and it was not a very dificult task, with with help from Doug, who suplied the recipy.
The setup uses caliper mounts and calipers, and hoses from a 78 F-350. The center hole had to be machined to match the original spindle, then the mounting holes had to be pluged, welded and then redrilled.
The disk comes from a 74 dodge 1 ton dually and had to be machined down a small bit (diameter). The original 8-bolt hubs are held to the disc using 610-279 dorman studs. The hub is sandwiched between the wheele and the disc, the studs hold it well when the wheele is off.
The flex line mounts are off a 74 f-250 whish are placed about a inch to the rear of the original location.
The shocks had to be moved to the back side of the axle, which ment drilling new holes about 4 inches toward the back, for the upper shock mounts. the bottom mounts just bolt in from the otherside of the axle.I had to trim the inner fenders for shock clearance.
For the toy box i copied the mounts from somewere on this site, snd had a pitman arm
welded up a m/shop. the hoses were custom made. I was able to use the 74 f-250
colum with a little welding to the flex joint.
