walmart code reader

Hi I Have A 1990 F150 And Having Problems With Idle Surge. I Have Cleaned The iac. And Reset The Computer. And Checked For Vac Leak. I Was Wondering If The Code readers Walmart Sells are Any Good. And Would They Read Codes On A Truck As Old As mine. Thanks All

Yep. They will work just fine as long as they are for Ford OBD-I. I think that I paid $30 for mine at an Autozone.

On a side note, you may want to avoid capitalizing each word. It throws us off as we read.

A "code reader" for that era vehicle is mostly going to be effective if your CEL is on. Beyond that, it is close to useless.

A paper clip can do the same thing and doesn't cost $30.

THESE GUYS ARE RIGHT ABOUT THE CODE READER AND CAPITALIZING EACH WORD.....BUT AT LEAST YOURE NOT TYPING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS HEY! AND I rEaLlY hAtE iT wHeN pEoPlE tYpE lIkE tHiS!!!
