I have a '56 F350 and my hood emblems are in pretty rough shape. I called Dennis Carpenter Reproductions and found out they have the original dies and they make the F100 emblems. I asked about modifying the die to produce F250 and F350 emblems (maybe more) and they were not interested due to low demand. For all I know the die might have interchangeable inserts already but they do not want to produce. I looked into getting my emblems redone and the expense was pretty high.
How many of you would be interested in a set of new emblems for your F250 or F350? Maybe if we drum up enough business, Dennis Carpenter will alter the die.
Hi; If you are looking for F-350 hood emblems, I have a good set that I will sell. They are complete, no parts broken or missing, the plateing is good. The red paint around the F-350 letters is faded and some is missing. They would be easy to restore. I will trade for a good set for a F-100. If interested e-mail me. I live in Alberta, Canada, but I don't think shipping is a problem. Ozzie.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 07-Jan-03 AT 11:17 PM (EST)]Ozzie,
If you don't have any luck exchanging your F350 emblems for F100 emblems, call this salvage yard where I found a set for my '59 F100:
Turner's Auto Wrecking
4248 S. Willow
Fresno, CA. 93725
phone number: (559) 237-0918
They're in Central California; ask to speak to Mr. Turner. He owns the place and has for about 50 years (no joke). If he had side hood emblems for my '59 (VERY difficult to find), then there's a REAL good chance he's got them for a '56 F100 (more common). They DO ship (I asked previously for guys on FTE who I referred them to).
