heater hoses

Hi all. On an 85 fullsize bronco, what size are the heater hoses, 5/8 or 3/4? I took off what was on originaly and threw them away. A week later I got some free 5/8 heater hose. I tried installing it but it seemed too small and I didn't want to force it on the tubes for the heater core so I went out and bought some 3/4 hose and installed it. The problem is, I have to use 2 clamps on each hose to keep it from leaking. I'm thinking that it should have 5/8 and that I just have to force it on the tubes. I'm sure that all broncos use the same size hose but want to know what size.
Thanks.
Bill

Bill your hoses should be 5/8", I always spray some CRC or any other lubricant in the hose to help the hose slide over the nipple.

5/8 is the one - don't use petroleum based lubricant on the fittings though when you try to slide them on - use water based.

Thanks guys. Appreciate your responses. Will put the free 5/8 on. So I'm out $7 for the 3/4 hose. I should have asked on the forum before buying the 3/4.
Thanks again.
