I have recently installed the vent window rubbers from a rather well known manufacturer and I am not pleased at all with fitment. Seems to have open spaces thru which I can see light so I know it is going to whistle like crazy. I have fiddled relentlessly with the division bars etc and the only thing I can think of to close some of the gaps is new vent window glass.
I would appreciate any feedback as to others experience. I purchased my parts before I found this site so please forgive me. I will however purchase my body parts manual from FTE as I find myself in need of the instructions for final assembly. It takes a real man to admit it!:-staun
I got my vent window rubbers for my '59 thru Sacramento Vintage Ford (www.vintage-ford.com). They fit very well. In fact, they're so tight, I can hardly get them open! They'll loosen up in time though.
I did notice a slight opening between the channel felts and the side window at the top though. Again, may just be a thing over time that needs to "seat" itself.
Daryl, you can adjust the tention on your wing so it can open easier, there's a nut with a spring inside your door just under the wing it's a 3/8 or 7/16 just loosen it a little.
