1975 electrical question

ive got a 1975 econoline 100 with a 300- 3 on the tree and when i have everything off and i hit the brake the brake lights still light up... is this normal or do i have a wiring short?

That is normal for them to do that.

Normal, it ias actually required by the FMVSS.
