2 inch add-a-leaf???

I am thinking about putting a 2 inch add-a-leaf kit on my 1991 F250. Do you know if the truck will ride fine after and if you think this is a good idea. Is it expensive to get a front end alignment on this truck?

Thanks,
Trevor

My experience with add-a-leafs is that they tend to wear out the original spring pack prematurely. New re-arched springs are far superior.

I'd think if you were adding a leaf for suport as opposed to lift you would be allright.

If you are looking for a few inches of lift in the rear, why not flip the rear shackles, they give about 2-3 inches of life i do belive. Its a pretty simple task, lots of FTE members have done this mod.

I was thinking about doing the same thing, then I looked at the JCW new springs sets for less than 200 bucks..
Much easier job and you can order the exact spring rate that suits your needs.

Yea. block lifting is something i'd try to avoid at all costs. unless its only about 2 to 3 inches.
