OK, I was looking at a 2000(for $13,495), but I am going to pass on that one(previous accident with moderate damage according to Carfax) I am now looking at a 2001 F350, CC LB, basically the same truck as the 2000, with 121,000 on it(the 2000 had 164,000). This truck drives a lot better than the 2000 did and it is in a lot better shape overall. It is also more expensive at $16,995. Is the price too high or is it in the ball park?
Thats going to depend a lot on the package, XL, Lariat? And some, I suspect, on where you are. I can read - I see Wisconsin, I'm just saying one places fair price is anothers bargain. Here in Eastern NE, that seems awful low relative to what I'm seeing around. (And our prices now, definately a market you want to be in if you're selling a used truck)
I also have an 01 350, and theres a lot in OMA with an identical truck with 220K miles and they still want over $20K. I was told the other day I might see as much as $30K on mine (79000 miles, very well kept, but . . . you gotta be kidding me) as a trade in. But I'm not looking to trade. I get called all the time to do that, but I'm keeping it.
I have a 2001 Black Lariat Crew Cab Dually, It has 122,000 mi. (99%) highway and it has been taken very good care of. Although I had to have the tranny rebuilt about 3 mos. ago,but wasn't due to hard work as I have only pulled a three horse bumper pull with it. It is running fine now. I do want to sell it and purchase a new 2007 or 2008 4x4 model. It is all decked out with the Chrome Brush guard, Tinted windows, Rhino Bed Liner, Gooseneck Removable Hitch,Chrome Bed Rails, and factory Chrome Nerf Bars. Interior is Tan Saddle Leather and in excellent condition except for the drivers seat.(has slight cracking on the arm rest) It has been waxed once a week from day one and never ragged out or overworked. I would like to get $18,500 out of it if I could. Like I earlier, I want a 4x4 this time. If you might be interested in this truck you can email me at (shonufftuff69@conwaycorp.net) or call me at 501-339-8226. I have pics I could email.
I think I'm done looking for a while. My "financial advisor" says too much money, so looks like I won't be purchasing a diesel Super Duty any time soon. Thanks everyone for your input.
