Intercooler quastion

i have a intercooler givin to me from a friend out of a 03 dully. 7.3 i have the early 99 build date 3/98..i know my turbo is smaller didnt know if that made i differnts in coolers.if there is would i gain any thing out of swapping it out or is better hung on a wall till i need it??

I'm pretty sure it's the same one. The 6.0 intercoolers are a little bigger, so they are a popular "poor mans" swap. I still have my stock intercooler, and as soon as I can afford a Banks Techno-cooler, she's going in! My EGT's get a bit high with my Diablosport

It will lower EGTs about 100 degrees while towing, for most people the 6.0 swap is just right. Give Bob a call at dieselsite.com, he will have the boots you need for the swap.

this 03 7.3 cooler will lower my egt's better then my early 99 cooler does?? did i read that right??
i just got a e-mail from jody at dp tuner. i told him what i was getting. told him i was going to a 6637 filter he said he perfers the AFE STGII with the progard 7filter. i cant seem to find one that fits a early 99 they are mostly 99.5 and up.. can any one hook me up thanks a million

wow never mind found one $$434 he also said an ais would be ok if i used a fender sleeve as well. thanks guy's

I must have misread, I thought you where talking about a 2003 6.0 intercooler.

If you want an alternative to the AFE Stage II, take a look in my gallery(under custom intake). The one I have is not the Proguard7 but they do make one in that size.
