Gas Mileage
This sucker claims up to a 3 mpg increase in gas mileage.
Do these things really help at all?
I would not not be buying for a performance upgrade..... the engine has plenty of power already.

My personal experience is that it does have a performance increase, and is valuable in that way. Of course the look is also nice, and so it has a value that way as well. It's just that in gas mileage I do not believe there to be any increase, from what I have seen, let alone 3 MPG which is pretty significant on a V10 getting 10-12 as it stands. At least that's about what I get on my 02 V10.
