Diesel Performance Injection Pump

Has anyone ever purchased anything from Diesel Performance out of Memphis, TN? My injection pump went bad and I put a rebuilt one in from then, and the truck just wouldn't run right. So I got a friend of mine who is a diesel mechanic to look at it and he said the injection pump was bad. I'm going to have them both tested at a local injection shop. I was just wondering if anyone else had bought something from them. They sell everything through an EBAY store.

tell us more about how you changed the pump ... did you maintain the gear timing.
timing has lots to do with the operation and performance of the diesel engine. It is possible to get a bad pump from an injection shop but really tuff to comprehend but a reliabel shop will go thru them completely.

I bought rebuilt injectors and injector pump from Diesel Care and Performance, had no problems whatsoever, over 1500 km on both. Also very good reviews on e-bay feed back, and 6 month warrantee- why don't you call them about their pump before you have someone else mess with it and your warranty??

If you are taking both pumps to be checked, are you not sure this first one is bad??
What were your symptoms before and after the pump change? More info would help with troubleshooting before you spend a bunch more money.

I would advise you DO NOT OPEN the IPs or any warranty will be voided. Did you replace the fuel filter when the new IP was installed.........that is normal proceedure and required by some rebuilders.

Did you remove the IP and timing cover with gear inside.........please say no.....

NO, I haven't touched them or opened them. No I didn't get it out of time. THats pretty hard to do. The mechanic I had look at it said it was bad b/c it was running and when you push the throttle it took to long to respond. He said it has to be the pump. I was going to take it to a shop b/c that way they couldn't argue with me when I told them it was bad. And yes, I know it has a warranty, I'm going to send it back. I'm not that worried about it, everyone makes mistakes.
